The Indiana Grown Initiative had its first product selection show with Kroger grocery stores on Friday, June 26, and it was a huge success. More than 70 producers and farmers attended the show and each had a chance to meet with Kroger buyers and discuss their Indiana-made products. Many attendees hoped to either gain more brand exposure with retailers or expand the selling of their product to more Kroger stores.

There was a large variety of vendors in attendance, marketing meats, produce, sauces, candies, homemade soap and so much more. Each attendee was able to showcase their business with unique displays and plenty of samples to go around. Producers were also able to network with their peers and gather ideas from different Indiana Grown members.

Many producers and farmers enjoyed the show and the opportunities it provided. Indiana Grown hopes to continue to offer such opportunities for its members. With more shows such as this, Indiana products will be able to reach a larger consumer audience through retailer partnerships – one of Indiana Grown’s main focuses.
