Five on Friday – Goosehumpfarm

Oct 8, 2021 | Featured

Five on Friday is an Indiana Grown feature of our members that shares FIVE interesting things about their farm or business.

Get to know member Goosehumpfarm as this week’s edition of Five on Friday!

1. Business/Farm Name

Goosehumpfarm

2. Where are you located (city/town) and what county?

Camden, IN
Carroll County

3. What do you sell?/What does your business do?

We use our sheep’s wool to create winter wear. The wool is shorn here, shipped to a mill, spun into yarn and returned to our farm where we create a finished product. Each piece is handmade, fleece lined and exceptionally warm. When you purchase from us you will get something that is local, sustainable and completely unique. We also sell common milkweed seeds to aid in Monarch butterfly conservation. We are passionate about treating the land respectfully and provide a portion of our acreage for wildlife habitat.

4. What is an interesting fact about your business?

When we moved to our homestead the previous owner left an entire flock of geese. No joke. An entire flock. Twenty five honking, fierce, unfriendly geese greeted us from atop a gigantic pile of dirt. We realized that the homestead had just named itself.

5. What are your plans for 2021?

We’re working to expand our Etsy shop by providing a wider variety of products.
