Merle Orem was the youngest male of the 11 siblings. He and Virginia married and moved to what is now our current farm in 1956. They purchased the farm just before Merle was deployed. Virginia managed the farm (along with raising a child, Ed) with the help of some close family.

When Merle was able, he would scrape together enough money to call home approximately every 2 months (for a 10 minute phone call). Both of them displayed a quiet determination and work ethic that they taught to their son, who then passed it on to the next generation.

Our family will always strive to continue their legacy in the best way we can. Orem Farms is not just a name, but a continuing legacy that we hope lasts for generations to come.
