Rachel’s Taste of Indiana

Nov 7, 2022

Destination, Indiana Grown

Rachel and Mark Boyer opened Rachel’s Taste of Indiana in 2018. It began as a storefront for Healthy Hoosier Oil, a cold-pressed sunflower oil plant also located in Converse, IN. Rachel’s Taste quickly grew into a boutique store that features goods that are grown and made in Indiana. The Indiana sourced store offers a selection of farm-fresh meat and dairy. They even have fresh-baked goods and even souvenirs you can only get in Indiana!

The Boyer’s have farmed ground in Miami County and neighboring counties for six generations with the seventh generation starting to learn the family tradition and family farming practices. Starting with commodity crops common in Indiana (soybeans, corn, and wheat), they added sunflowers to the farm in 2007. They eventually started Health Hoosier Oil in 2014 and continued expansion in 2018.

Partnering and working with other local Indiana businesses has always been at the heart of their business model. It has been important to support their neighbors, and they are proud to be able to offer both residents and visitors a unique shopping experience that features goods sourced 100% from across Indiana.

Rachel’s Taste of Indiana is located at 102 S Jefferson Street, Converse IN 46919
Hours of Operation are Tuesday – Friday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. & Saturday 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

About Indiana Grown
The Indiana Grown initiative aims to not only form a clearer designation of which products truly come from Indiana, but to also help Hoosier consumers easily identify and buy these products. We truly believe everyone has a chance to share in the success of the initiative; whether it’s a large or small operation, high-tech or low-tech, traditional or non-traditional.
