Heritage Farm

Oct 25, 2022

Destination, Indiana Grown

Beth and Tim Sheets are second generation owner & operators of Heritage Farm in Flora, IN.

Beth grew up on the farm with her family raising Herford Cattle. Wanting to maintain a working farm once the Sheets took ownership they discovered and transitioned to raising Suri Alpaca. Buying their first small herd in 2003, they now offer a full-service Heritage Alpaca farm including: breeding, sales, and boarding. Heritage Farm is a relaxing retreat nestled in rolling hills where the Sheets family hosts weddings, events, and tours of the farm. Along with a bed and breakfast, event tent and farm store guests can interact with the herd of Suri Alpacas thru a 90-minute tour or an Alpaca Trekking adventure.

Heritage Farm also has a Century old Barn on property with hand hewed timber which was constructed in the early 1900’s. This is where the Alpaca’s reside and yearly sheering takes place.

One of the many events hosted on the farm each year is the Artisan Holiday Market, November 12th and 13th, 2022. Allowing you to experience the farm, enjoying local food and beverages as well as shopping over 25 Artisan’s booths.

About Indiana Grown
The Indiana Grown initiative aims to not only form a clearer designation of which products truly come from Indiana, but to also help Hoosier consumers easily identify and buy these products. We truly believe everyone has a chance to share in the success of the initiative; whether it’s a large or small operation, high-tech or low-tech, traditional or non-traditional.
