Given Chances Farm

Given Chances Farm

The Sturgeon family was given the chance to give their animals a chance. In fact, that’s where Given Chances Farm got its name. What started with livestock around 2005 eventually became a home for chickens, goats, pigs, cattle and retired horses. In 2019, honeybees were “given a chance” and added to the mix. This family farm now produces pure honey, lip balm, lotion bars, beeswax, chicken and duck eggs, whole frozen chickens and handmade items. If you want to give these products a chance, you can find them at the Farmers Market at the Fairgrounds in Greenfield or you can visit their shop online.

What’s Next for the Farm?

More products are on the way, including produce, freezer beef and pork. The Sturgeons have also been asked to teach a grade school group about beekeeping.

About Indiana Grown
The Indiana Grown initiative aims to not only form a clearer designation of which products truly come from Indiana, but to also help Hoosier consumers easily identify and buy these products. We truly believe everyone has a chance to share in the success of the initiative; whether it’s a large or small operation, high-tech or low-tech, traditional or non-traditional.
