Matt & Jaime Lamping wanted to not have regrets in life and retire thinking “What if”. So, they quit corporate America and decided to their own 8th Day to make a dream a reality.

In 2015 they signed a lease and bought equipment. They started putting bourbon in barrels (to age to perfection), while launching Rum & Gin to the Indy market. You can find 8th Day spirits in about 200 bars, restaurants, and liquor stores around Indy.

In 2018 8th Day opened a Bottle Shop & Cocktail Bar located on the near east side of downtown Indy. Here you can enjoy a cocktail, or two 😉, with bottle sales and canned cocktails/mocktails to go. Utilizing what’s in season, 8th Day has a seasonal cocktail menu that rotates every 9-12 weeks. The Bottle Shop & Cocktail Bar has a fun, artsy, cozy vibe where the team truly make your experience 5 stars!

Matt & Jaime followed their passion for crafting quality, local spirits and cocktails, and in the process discovered that creating a community was even more rewarding. That is why everyone at 8th Day welcome you to discover what inspires you — and pour yourself into it.
