The Indiana State Fair is our state’s largest celebration of agriculture and a beloved tradition for countless Hoosier families. For 17 days, people will travel from all across the state to experience everything the fair has to offer, and whether it’s riding the Ferris wheel, looking at the 4-H exhibits or enjoying a milkshake from the Dairy Bar, there’s no shortage of things to do – or new foods to try.
This year’s theme is the “Wonderful World of Food” and what better way to celebrate “food” than by stopping by the Indiana Grown Marketplace, a new store devoted entirely to Indiana Grown products. Located in the Agriculture Horticulture Building (Aug. 4–20), the marketplace will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and will feature more than 300 Indiana Grown products, ranging from candy to coffee to barbecue sauce. In addition to the Indiana Grown store, fairgoers can also try many of our member products at one of the 7 sampling stations or during our live cooking demonstrations each day at noon.
For Hoosiers that want to buy local and support their neighbors, this is a great opportunity to find a variety of great local products all in one convenient location. The following Indiana Grown members will have their products featured at the store (list subject to change):
