Indiana Grown announces its latest partnership with iPICKHERE to present On the River, a family and farming festival taking place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, on the Evansville riverfront. The statewide specialty farming and food expo is free to the public and will feature Indiana Grown vendors, as well as artisans, food trucks, live music, kid-friendly activities and more. This is the first time Indiana Grown, led by the Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA), has partnered with localized food hub and online farmers market iPICKHERE.

Since Indiana Grown’s launch last summer, we have pursued our goal of reaching Hoosiers in all corners of the state,” said Ted McKinney, ISDA Director. “That is why we are proud to co-sponsor On the River with iPICKHERE, which is a great opportunity for us to not only reach thousands of consumes in southern Indiana, but also to showcase some of the great agricultural products made by Hoosiers.”

Along with a focus on local food, the festival offers health and nutrition exhibitors, gardening and farming demonstrations, health-related children’s activities provided by the Evansville Children’s Museum, live music, and a bar and beer garden.

We partnered with Indiana Grown and the Indiana State Department of Agriculture to emphasize the exciting local food movement happening throughout the state,” said Karen Conaway, CEO and founder of iPICKHERE. “We’re thrilled to bring Hoosier products from all over Indiana to On the River.”

Thousands of attendees will have the opportunity to sample and purchase a variety of Indiana Grown products provided by the following members:

• Artisan Homestead – Poseyville, Ind.
• Big Brick House Bakery & Pasta – Fort Wayne, Ind.
• Cousin Willie’s Popcorn – Ramsey, Ind.
